Best Use of Animation in PowerPoint

Using simple transitions in PowerPoint to achieve an animated effect

PowerPoint has placed lots of different animation effects at the user’s disposal.
But many of the choices are either wacky or just plain unprofessional looking. I usually stick to subtle effects such as the fade, to make objects or text slowly come into view. There are times, however, when the more unconventional effects can enhance your message. For example, if you have a headline that says “growth” you can actually make the text slowly (or quickly) increase in size. So now you’re really underlining the message for your audience. Another effect I’ve used is one called “wipe”. This animation feature enabled me to take a vine graphic representing an ever-expanding technology to “grow” upward vertically as shown in the example below.
