One challenge often faced in PowerPoint presentations is how to locate the illustrations that are needed to explain specific concepts. This is especially true for marketing presentations, in which a complex product or service needs to be explained accurately and quickly to a new prospect. In most cases, the illustrations and animation for these types of PowerPoints simply do not exist in the clip art library in PowerPoint itself or for that matter, on the internet as a whole. In these cases, the only solution is to create the custom art that is needed for the presentation.
After many requests from our clients who could not find pre-existing artwork for their specific needs, we now offer custom illustration services to our clients. We have on staff a dedicated 3D artist who specializes in PowerPoint illustration for biotech, scientific, hitech, engineering, etc. PowerPoint presentations. You can link to work samples from recent projects here.
Some of our clients take the process one step further. For their marketing presentations, they create illustration databases of 50 to 100 images that describe every aspect of their product or service. For example, one client uses overnight shipping services via FedEx as an integral part of the service they offer. Rather then trying to locate a high quality copyright released photo of a FedEx truck, they contracted with us to create a FedEx delivery style truck on a close cropped white background. When marketing staff are putting together a customized presentation for a new prospect, they can pull this image from an online database, size it for the slide and then place appropriate text that clarifies how overnight shipping works in the service. By having this database the company maintains high quality illustration imagery throughout their sales PowerPoint presentations. Even better, a standardization in look and feel is created company wide.
Attached is an example of a typical database of custom PowerPoint clip art. This firm’s product relates to product shipping and there are many illustrations that pertain to this process, including the fork lift, loaded pallet, trucks, etc. Each image is used to describe a step in the process, which is shown typically on one slide of the presentation.
