Get rid of unnecessary bullets in Power Point

I inherit lots of PowerPoint slides with, shall we say “issues”? That’s because PowerPoint throws in features to make it “easier” for the novice, such as built-in masters. Here’s just one example. The default master has those darned bullets that pop up every time a new line of text is typed in. This is especially annoying if a slide contains a single sentence. No need for the bullet, right? It’s like preceding a sentence with a number 1 when there’s no number 2 that follows. Silly stuff like this frustrates the average PowerPoint user and I can understand why. Here’s the quick fix. If you don’t want bullets on ANY of the slides, go to the master view, highlight the bulleted text, go to FORMAT on the menu bar, then go to BULLETS and choose NONE. If you love bullets, but have one slide where bullets really don’t make sense, then make the change to that slide only in Normal View rather than Master View so the rest of the slides aren’t affected.
